DropDown Filter

DropDown Filters allows the User to set a single Dashboard Parameter by selecting the value from the list presented in the DropDown. The values of the DropDown have to be provided by a Data Query.

A DropDown Filter can only set one Dashboard Parameter. If you require to set multiple Dashboard Parameter, you also need to place multiple Drop Down Filters on your Dashboard

Widget properties

  • Widget version - Version of the Widget used in this Dashboard. If a new version of this Widget is available and you want to use it, you have to manually update the version here. When a new Widget is added to the Dashboard, automatically the latest version is placed.
  • Label - Text shown above the drop down.
  • Label icon - Icon giving a visual identification to the drop down
  • Help text - Explanation text shown below the drop down.
  • Dashboard - Selects the Dashboard, for which the Dashboard Parameter is set. This can be the another Dashboard if a new Dashboard should be opened, or it can be the same Dashboard as this Widget is placed on, if the Dashboard Parameter is set for other Widgets on the same Dashboard.
  • On change: Set dashboard parameter (Parameter name) - The values of the selected entry from the drop down will be send as a Dashboard Parameter with the name configured here.
  • Data query - Data Query proving the entries for the drop down.
  • Dropdown value (Data query result column) - Column of the Data Query Result Set holding the names for the entries in the drop down. I.e., the entry names shown to the Users.
  • Dropdown display value (Data query result column) - Column of the Data Query Result Set holding the values for the entries in the drop down. I.e., the entry values that are send as the Dashboard Parameter.
  • Set data query parameters to dashboard parameters (Key: data query parameter, value: dashboard parameter) - Maps Dashboard Parameter to the parameters of the Data Query:
