Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in the Azure cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security.
• Implementing and monitoring security best practices for Kubernetes, including network policies, role-based access control, and secrets management.
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure containerized applications are securely deployed and managed within the Kubernetes clusters.
• Proactively identifying and addressing potential security vulnerabilities and risks within the Kubernetes environment.
• Developing and maintaining documentation related to Kubernetes architecture, security policies, and procedures.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Staying informed about industry trends, security best practices, and emerging technologies related to Kubernetes and Azure to maintain a strong understanding of the market and identify potential improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and securing Kubernetes clusters, preferably in the Azure cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing container orchestration platforms, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Container Registry, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Active Directory.
• Knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Azure Security Engineer, are a plus.
